
Denis McCarthy is the Chair of Mount Pleasant Cares and is a dedicated husband and father of three, 23 year resident of Mount Pleasant, served on the Planning Board 5 years (2009-2013), two terms as Councilman on Town Board (2014-2017), and Congressional Candidate 17th district in 1996. In addition to his commitment to our Town and community, he's been active in the labor movement - IUOE Local 30, and his Irish American heritage with family and friends in the County Cork BP&P Association and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Denis believes in the motto “To whom much is given, much will be required.” (Luke 12:48), and is grateful for his family, life and community in the Town of Mount Pleasant, NY.

Anna Nelson has called Mount Pleasant home for nearly a decade, where she lives with her family. Before that she lived in Queens and was born and raised in Texas. She has been an educator for almost 20 years has taught middle and high school math, AP US Government and Politics, and civics while transitioning from teacher to Assistant Principal and a now a Principal. As a mother, educator, and school administrator, she is deeply invested in the future of the community. In her role as a District Leader, she is committed to civic engagement and believes that informed, active residents are essential to building a stronger, more sustainable town.

Ed Morrison has lived in Mount Pleasant since 2013 and has been a resident of Westchester County for over 25 years. He and his wife actively participate in the community, volunteering with youth sports programs and the school district for their three children. Ed has also served on the Citizens Budget Advisory Committee for the Mount Pleasant Central School District. Currently, Ed works on organizational and technology strategy for large global enterprises, bringing over twenty years of experience in talent development and team leadership, design and operations. He holds a BS Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA in Strategic Management and International Business from Pace University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in management strategy focused on disruptive innovation at Pace.

Domenick Vita is a Mount Pleasant resident and experienced attorney who brings a practical, no-nonsense approach to protecting the community. He is actively engaged in local issues - especially land use, environmental impacts, and government accountability - pushing for decisions that put residents first.
Domenick believes growth should never come at the expense of quality of life. He advocates for transparency, stronger oversight, and real public input, working to ensure Mount Pleasant remains a place people are proud to call home - not a place shaped by unchecked development.
